Cornwall Council’s social media policy

Fair play to Cornwall Council, who have posted up publicly their social media policy and passport (basically a business case type document and process).

You can download them via their social media page.

Thanks to Matt Bond, from Cornwall’s Communications and Strategy team for sharing freely.

A policy is never going to set the world on fire but I like Cornwall’s. It makes the case for business use and talks about people listening to the social web, not just broadcasting to it. It’s nice to see that this is reflected in their Twitter account, which is chatty while still being informative.
