Great quote, from Chris Collison:
How often in an organisational situation do we get carried away with misplaced self-belief, a little (but not enough) knowledge, a little too much ego and an eager desire to just roll up our sleeves and get on with it – and create something that looks roughly right, but doesn’t withstand the test of time.

… or are you actually suffering the Dunning-Kruger effect?
Ha – good one. Thanks for introducing me to that, Paul!
Dunno about you, but I winced when I read it … nailed me, the bastards.
Hide that quote Dave, before it gets out!
Err, how does this square with the oft repeated suggesting to ‘JFDI’ ?? 😉
Damn, that should have read suggestion … not suggesting.
I think there are probably some warning signs you might be suffering the Dunning-Kruger effect.
1. This might be having to keep reposting on a blog because you didn’t think you need to proof read your post – in your head you are an excellent touch typist. 😉
2 This might be saying (publicly) “should have this online for you to have a look at by Monday around 3 ish”, and on the following Saturday afternoon you are still walking on it. 😉 (me again, today, still at it… sigh…)
Damn, that should have read working … not walking.
